It’s Monday: What Are You Reading? #10

October 6, 2014 It's Monday 4

It’s Monday: What Are You Reading is a weekly meme hosted by Book Journey that showcases the books we hope to start and/or finish in the upcoming week.

Last week I read:

  • Training Lady Townsend
  • The Knight
  • Marcus Wilding: Duke of Pleasure
  • His Captive Bride
  • A Moment of Passion
  • The Last Wicked Scoundrel

Didn’t exactly stick to last week’s plan, so I’ll try again this week.  Here’s a (semi) repeat of the plan:

Wild Ride

For Lacey Callihan, things couldn’t get much worse. She’s working a dead-end job, living with a dead-end boyfriend and stuck in a dead-end town. When Lacey’s boyfriend steals her meager life savings and hits her for questioning him, it’s the last straw. She skips town in her rustheap of a car – which she can only pray will get her as far as Texas. And it does. Spluttering to a final stop just as she crosses the border. But when two ultra-hot cowboys pull up in their convertible red Mustang and offer her a ride, Lacey has a feeling her luck is about to change …

Famous in Paris, infamous in London, Verity Durant is as well-known for her mouthwatering cuisine as for her scandalous love life. But that’s the least of the surprises awaiting her new employer when he arrives at the estate of Fairleigh Park following the unexpected death of his brother.

To rising political star Stuart Somerset, Verity Durant is just a name and food is just food, until her first dish touches his lips. Only one other time had he felt such pure arousal–a dangerous night of passion with a stranger, who disappeared at dawn. Ten years is a long time to wait for the main course, but when Verity Durant arrives at his table, there’s only one thing that will satisfy Stuart’s appetite for more. But is his hunger for lust, revenge–or that rarest of delicacies, love? For Verity’s past has a secret that could devour them both even as they reach for the most delicious fruit of all.…

Looks like you got some good reading done last week. I’ll be interested in your thoughts on a couple of those titles.
I’d have to check my lists to see if I have read Sherry Thomas. I do enjoy a nice historical romance. 🙂
    Have a good week!
