It’s Monday: What Are Your Reading is a weekly meme hosted by Book Journey that showcases the books we hope to start and/or finish in the upcoming week.
Last week I read:
- Surrender to the Devil (review 8/9/14)
- Improper Relations (review 8/12/14)
- Improper Arrangements (review 8/15/14)
- Improper Proposals (review 8/16/14)
- Secrets of a Lady (review 8/19/14)
- Temptation of a Gentleman (review 8/22/14)
Once again, I am unable to stick to my original Monday plan, hahaha. But the last two books up there were surprise reads for a special upcoming event (and were great!), so I’m not too upset by it. 🙂 You might have also noticed that reviews are being posted on Saturdays now too. I’ve got lots of books to review this month and even by posting reviews on Saturdays, the month is almost completely booked for reviews. I hope I can continue this trend.
This week’s selections are
(remarkably similar to last week):
Some men are born into scandal. Others pursue it with a passion. Griffin Steele, secret son of the Duke of Cumberland, is guilty on both counts. Yet somehow London’s most notorious scoundrel has been saddled with an abandoned baby boy–and with the unflappable, intriguing spinster summoned to nurse him. . .
Justine Brightmore may be a viscount’s niece, but she’s also a spy’s daughter, determined to safeguard the infant when his suspected royal parentage makes him a target. Yet how to protect herself from the rakish Griffin? Marriage might shield her reputation, but it can only imperil her heart, especially with a groom intent on delicious seduction. . .
Twenty-something Londoner Natalie Bowen is envied by many, but her personal life is a disaster.
Then she hears about an exclusive weekend retreat called The Haven, a place that specializes in introducing people to pleasures they could never have imagined. Shocked at the idea, but unable to resist finding out more, Natalie decides it’s time to put her hears behind her.
Once at The Haven, Natalie meets the enigmatic and disciplined Simon, a man who is used to getting what he wants. And he’s decided he wants Natalie…
After consolidating his gains against the enemy English, King Robert the Bruce of Scotland sends his best soldiers to fortify the lawless borders. These legendary warriors of the Highland Guard let nothing come before king and country—except the calling of their heart.
Of all Bruce’s elite warriors, Robert “Raider” Boyd is the most formidable. A true patriot whose bare hands are a deadly weapon, Robbie is the fierce enforcer of the Guard, and his hatred of the English has been honed to a razor-sharp edge. But vengeance proves bittersweet when his enemy’s beautiful sister falls into his hands and he finds himself fighting temptation—a battle he badly wants to lose.
Lady Rosalin Clifford barely recognizes the rebel prisoner she saved from execution six years ago. Though her girlish ideals for fairness have matured into a passion for justice, Rosalin believes she betrayed her brother when she helped this dangerous man escape. Now her traitorous act has come back to haunt her. But she can’t deny the longing this tormented warrior ignites in her, or deny the passion that turns sworn enemies into lovers. Is the gentle love of a true English Rose enough to free Scotland’s most brutal warrior from a path of vengeance—before it’s too late?
So, dear readers, what books are you reading this week?
