Review Policy

Hello!  Thank you so much for checking out my review policy page and for your interest in my reading preferences.

Genres I prefer:

  • Historical Romance (particularly Regency, Middle Ages, and books set in Scotland)
  • Erotica
  • Historical Fiction
  • Mystery (particularly amateur sleuth and historical mysteries)

My blog is focused primarily on the first three – Historical Romance, Erotica, and Historical Fiction.  I enjoy reading other genres too and will reviews books from other genres that strike my fancy, but since I tend to favor Historical Romance and Erotica, I try to keep the other genres to a minimum.

I am currently open to receiving advance reader copies, finished hardcopies, galleys, audiobooks, and e-books in Kindle format.  If you decide to request a review, please include a synopsis, cover image, and release date.  All reviews include the cover image, a rating (out of 5 stars), the book synopsis, publication details, and my review of the book.  If you would like me to review your book, please send me an email.  I am also on Netgalley.

Click here for more information on the rating system used on this blog.

I will do my absolute best to post a review in a timely manner, but please understand that, like you, I do have constraints on my time.  I read for fun and entertainment and run this blog after real-world duties like job and house are taken care of.  If you require a review by a specific date or within a specific time frame, please state so in your initial email.  I try to read books based on release date and interest in the story, so if I need to shuffle my reading list, I like to know about it sooner rather than later.

In addition to posting reviews on this blog, all reviews are also cross-posted to Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Goodreads.  I also link to the blog reviews using Twitter and Facebook.  This is done in order to reach the widest audience possible and spread the love of a good book!

Promotional Work:

I am happy to host guest bloggers, book tours, and giveaways.  I would also enjoy conducting author interviews.  Please feel free to contact me if you are interested in any of the above.
